All Year Round, Full Day Childcare
For families wanting childcare that works around their careers, Grapevine Nursery is open Monday to Friday, from 7:30am to 6:00pm, for 51 weeks of year.
We have a 2 days minimum attendance per week as this helps your child to settle and get the most out of their Grapevine Nursery experience.
The location of Grapevine Nursery means it is ideal for working parents and carers on their way into Sheffield City Centre or passing through on their way to work. We can provide your child with breakfast, morning snack, lunch, and dinner.
Childcare Funding
30 Hours Funded Childcare
For working parents of children aged 9 months and over:
Eligible working parents can access up to 30 hours of funded childcare per week for 38 weeks per year from the term after they turn 9 months old.
15 Hours Funded Childcare
Available for all children aged 3 and over, and some 2 year olds:
All children aged 3 and over are entitled to 15 hours per week of funded childcare for 38 weeks per year. Some children aged 2 years old may also be eligible for 15 hours depending on their family’s circumstances
Funding at Grapevine Nursery
We are open 51 weeks per year (we only close during the Christmas break and bank holidays). This means that the 38 weeks of free childcare funding received from the government is stretched across 51 weeks. Children attending nursery via a 15 hour funding-only place will take 5 weeks of holiday per year (limited availability on a first come first served basis) – families are notified by the nursery manager of holiday weeks each year in advance for this type of contract.
Children attending nursery with 15 hours of funding only will attend two days per week, from 9:00am to 3:00pm, for 47 weeks per year. Funding does not cover consumables e.g. food, nappies and wipes. Please ask for more information when you come for a tour of our nursery.

*Steps 3 & 4 are not required if you are only claiming Universal Entitlement (15 Hours for children over 3).
Inclusion
We operate an inclusion and SEND policy and ensure that all children have access to nursery places and services irrespective of their gender, race, disability, religion or belief or sexual orientation of parents by making reasonable adjustments. During the admissions process if we feel we cannot meet a child’s needs without additional support from another service or agency such as the Local Authority, we will need to ensure this support is in place prior to a child starting. If we do not believe we can adequately support the child’s needs, or if a child requires 1-1 care and does not have funding in place to cover this, we will, unfortunately, not be able to admit the child.
