Nutrition

At Grapevine Nursery, we know the importance of a balanced, varied diet and having a positive relationship with food. Our families have the option to order a hot lunch for their child at nursery. We partner with local supplier, The Steel Spoon, to provide hot, nutritious lunches for our children. Our meals cater for special dietary requirements and allergies. Meat dishes always use halal ingredients.

 

Following new guidance from the Department for Education, all food served at Grapevine Nursery (breakfast, snack, lunch, and dinner) is compliant with EYFS 2025. EYFS stands for Early Years Foundation Stage; a statutory framework in England that sets standards for the learning, development, and care of children from birth to age five. We are proud to confirm that all our menus are fully compliant with the updated EYFS nutrition guidance (April 2025). Our catering partner operates from a fully registered and approved food premises and Grapevine staff undertake regular food hygiene training.

7:30 to 9:00am daily

A selection of cereals and fresh fruit.

10:15am daily

Fresh fruit and milk or water.

Lunch

11:45am daily

Hot meals freshly prepared and delivered by our catering partner, The Steel Spoon.

4:00pm daily

Hot meals prepared in-house by our Food Hygiene trained team.
